How-to Make an English Muffin Pizza

We are beginning to work on How-to writing. Today we worked on writing how to make English Muffin Pizzas! Kids had fun making their own pizza!  

Fire Safety

A big thank you to Firefighter Drew for coming in today! Kids had a great time learning about what to do in case of a fire. 

Narrative Writing in 2C

This week we worked on writing personal narratives! 

Apple Tasting

We tried 6 different types of apples today in 2C! Students made observations on their size, color, shape, smell, and taste! We also sample homemade applesauce and apple cider!  Gala was the biggest hit! 

Fact Families

This week in Math we have been working on addition and subtraction strategies! Here are some pictures of us playing fact family games!  Tonight ask your kiddos to explain to you what a fact family is!

Measuring with 4B!

On Thursday, Mrs. Nevard's class helped us out with a measuring activity! Students measured each other's height in inches, feet, centimeters, and meters!   

Is it a solid or a liquid?

2C spent the afternoon making oobleck.  We have been learning about solids, liquids, and gases. We discussed whether oobleck is a solid or a liquid.... We decided it's a little of both!! 

Polygons, oh my!

As an extension to our polygon lesson this week, students had fun building polygons with toothpicks and mini marshmallows! Can you spot a triangle, quadrilateral, pentagon, hexagon, heptagon, or an octagon?
